I must to do what I always do and live my life in a constant state of emotional numbness, slowly accepting that sadness and despair is crumbling away my will turning me into a ever thoughtful and happy person. A person who would rather make others happy instead of myself. My mind haunts me with blank visions and silent words of a life I may never live. A life free of this neverending dread and disappointment. A life of freedom, surrounded by the breath of the wild, inner joy, and peace of mind. A life where I don't hate myself. A life where the happiness I give can be mine too.

I gave my all but the blue skies I used to watch have now become dark and clouded. The low rumble of thunder growing louder as this storm becomes wildly unstable. The gentle breeze that tickled my soul, replaced with raging winds that keep me off balance. The once lazy drifting clouds now full of emotion, unleashing a torrential downpour flooding my surroundings. I stand my ground hoping the storm will pass but the longer I linger the harder escape becomes. My once beautiful paradise is now a flooded and dangerous prison. It's time to decide bide my time or brave the storm and escape to the clear skies I once watched in the distance.
