EDH/Commander is impossible to price because it depends on your commander and what you are willing to play. You can play lands that come into play tapped for a few cents each, you can play shock lands that cost 10-20 dollars then you can play duals for a few hundred.
Pauper is easily the cheapest format in the game but it might be hard to get a group to play because though its very popular on magic online it just started being player in paper.
