Sephiroth is the one who owns and administrates this site, not me. As for your comments. No one in their right mind would store static images in the DB, and serving static files is pretty quick and easy for a webserver. But in any case it looks like Seph. is already using S3 to store and serve uploaded images so profile images have nothing to do with server load. As for pulling info from social networks, that wouldn't really affect the DB in any way.
