I dunno, I've been on here quite a long time, and kinda got used to it. But I guess I stay because everyone here shares one common interest, so there's always something nice to talk about. Also...most of the people I know here, are some of the nicest ones I've ever met on the internet, or even irl for that matter. ^^

Does anyone here use or teach on italki? I've been thinking of getting back into teaching, but since I can't go abroad for the next few years I was thinking of taking up teaching online, starting in just my free time, but if I'm any good and get enough students maybe doing it properly as a part time job. I just want to know from students what they would want from a teacher online. From teachers I'd like to know how they adjust from teaching multiple students in a classroom to just one person on a computer screen where kinaesthetic activities are no longer an option, and the student has no peers to discuss topics with. From both I'd like to know how they feel about using Skype for such lessons. I've never taught online before, and personally much prefer direct in person interaction with students.

i do a british accent when im alone sometimes, i was on a forum with a lot of british guys and i listened to grime a bunch in my early 20's. a lot has changed, now i listen to vocaloid and stuff.
