Look i'll try to be objective about this I'll give my opinon of overall and then my personal favorites because my personal favorites won't really cover the best for the masses. LOZ ocarina of time (decidely the turning point for action rpgs) 5. Super mario 64 (absolute masterpiece) Personal favorites 1. Dead space (ressurected real survival horror) 2. Thousand arms (first atlus rpg and first experience with dating sim) 3. Resident evil 4 (best release for an installement amazing script) 4. Final fantasy 7 (first completed real rpg. Won't fanboy right now) 5. Persona 4 (exemplifies everything I want in a game, my perfect experience)
