I confess that I didn't ask for this girl's number at Captain D's today because I was with my mother and her friend. It felt weird to ask her with my mother and her friend around. And I had the perfect way of asking while she was waiting our table but with them being right there would probably embarrass her.

To me, "...the life of the party" isn't someone who has close friends. It's someone who gets along with everyone in a public setting for the goal of enjoyment. I'm not saying that it was how you lived, but that's the idea I get from that phrase. Someone who is the life of a party may only have shallow friendships. Have you had any really close friends before?

@Teacup That does sound odd to how she doesn't want to be friends anymore. And I'm sorry to hear that. Also, people tend to slowly be different from how they were when moving to a new place. So being the active person in the room to being not so active isn't uncommon to happen. Subconsciously people just slowly change around their new surroundings. Well that's what I think happens to some people. So don't take it to heart. And as for the sound system, yeah that gets annoying. Though I mainly hate it when people blast music out of their car and you can hear it a few blocks away.

I confess I believe a true friend would be there for you no matter what if they don't want to be a part of your life don't waste energy chasing them I don't know if that fits you just my opinion on friends
