Fun? Marrige seems like a legally binding contract between two people, for tax purposes and the ceremony seems like an expensive play for the guests to watch. I, however, value my word, commitment and see it as a worth while venture. Is marriage for everyone? Absolutely not. But, I believe I've found a woman who I'm willing to give a lifetime to.

I confess as a child of divorced parents bc one of them cheated and had a kid. I find marriage useless. If you love someone just stay with them you don't need papers or a fancy wedding to prove ur love :0 (I'm just bitter tho lol)

Marriage is a Commitment that should not be broken. You need to do everything in your power to make sure you are ready for it and your partner takes it as seriously as you NEED TO. It can be a wonderful thing, but it can also be a Pit of Hell that you have to work tirelessly to escape from. Do everything in your power to find out which it is, before taking any action.

Milk, I absolutely agree, but I suppose it's tradition that drives me to go the paper rout as well. I have a good friend who's been in a very happy relation for quite a few years, has two kids, a house and they still aren't planning on marriage for another couple of years. It's just legal mumbojumbo/tax related crap that the paperwork represents.

Yea There's nothing wrong with it I just think it's risky, but hey if you found someone you want to marry go for it! Do what makes you happy c:
