Your not changing my opinion.

cancer cells are mutated cells, not exactly uncontrollable growth. There has to be something wrong with the DNA in the nucleus for it to become cancerous, not that there's a lot of them.

I'm sorry, I learn all my human anatomy and phys, biochem, and other med classes in medical school so I'm gonna say that that's gonna trump high school health class. Breast cancer does not happen because you have larger breasts. Obesity is a potential risk factor, but by far the primary risk factor is being female and your genetic history. Yeah it grows uncontrollably, you'll notice that I didn't say it doesn't. But the real focus is why is it rapidly dividing and why that's a problem because they're abnormal cells. But yeah, if you're working off a high school level then I can see why they wouldn't get into it in more details than that

I think there is a little confusion here about tumors as opposed to cancer. Tumors are what form from uncontrolled growth, but they can be either benign or malignant (cancer). Both have DNA mutations as well. There can also be DNA problems and mutated cells that to lead to things other than tumors. To be defined as cancer, the tumor must have the ability to invade other tissue types from abilities gained by additional mutations. In addition, most breast cancer forms from cells in the ducts, whereas breast size is mostly determined by other cell types such as adipocytes (fat cells). So while Maverick's theory about the number of cells contributing to risk is logical, it doesn't quite hold up. For cancer in general, the number of cells may have a connection but because we already have so many cells, increasing the number probably won't increase the risk enough to be measurable. However, more adipocytes (and so more size) is related to the amount of estrogen which is linked to breast cancer risk as Xueli suggested. Cantthinkofabettername is probably also a bit off mark when saying that breasts have no other purpose than attraction, because there are primates that only have enlarged breast during feeding, so there is likely some connection to that. Even if it isn't "necessary," it may be more efficient or simply a different adaptation. As for the main topic, I have no comment.

Edit: real medical student...since it would be bad for me if people think I'm already a doctor. Maybe I should change my username...
