I saw this up on themmnetwork.com last night and can hardly contain my enthusiasm. For those who haven't heard, Keiji Inafune, the man who left Capcom and was largely responsible for the Mega Man franchise, is now making a very Mega Man-ish game with his new company, Comcept. With us getting nothing from Capcom on the Mega Man front for the last year or two, this has gotten a lot of fans really pumped. Check the link for the game's basic concept and some shots of the artwork.
Now, anyone here super excited for this? Mega Man's my favorite game series, so as enthusiastic as I am about this game, part of me feels like I'm cheating on him, as if I'm throwing him to the wayside for the next big thing. Given all the Mega Man stuff I own, I'm probably just worrying too much, but I really hope this gets Capcom back to making actual Mega Man games. Any thoughts?
I just noticed this game a little while ago on IGN. They were able to reach their goal in 48 hours. It's too bad it's not being released until 2015. I'm sure it will, but I hope it gets enough additional funding to get releases on all the major systems. I thought I'd heard Capcom was working on something Megaman related but it's all just rumors with them. In the meantime, I'm gonna enjoy playing the Blue Bomber on Smash Bros.
I'm funded, hoping it hits the 2.5m mark for a PS3 and 360 ver.
Well, now they bumped the console goal up a slot, so you only need to wait until they reach 2.2 mil. Still, though, the 2.5 million isn't looking all that impossible. I'm left wondering whether they'll put up any more stretch goals if they reach their current ones early, as fast as this is taking off.
I hope for the best, he has made a couple of historical franchises. I'm glade to see him still going without Capcom's chain.
Reviving this just to say, over four million dolla-rus! Woooooooooo!!!
