Anywho... Which games were your favorites, which characters did you like the most, which... well, you know how this all works. Not going to list everything.
My personal favorite game in the series is Majora's Mask. I don't know why everyone seems to hate it. Sure, the game might not have been as long as most Zelda games, but that meant you weren't playing it right. There was SO much depth to all of the characters and the world that was created. Figuring everyone out and discovering all the secrets were the core of this game. Many more hours of gameplay in that alone. Not only that, but the themes were much darker than in any other Zelda game thus far. The game was also very thoughtfully crafted. For instance, did you know that each of the major places you visit represents one of the 5 stages of grief? Love that game to death.
All of that said, I think the best game in the series is Wind Waker. Top notch story and presentation in that game. I think it truly has all of the best elements that make up a Zelda game. The combat and exploration were solid, the dungeons and puzzles were exceedingly fun and rewarding and it had the most epic ending of all the games. Discuss?
Majora's Mask is very underrated but my favorite has to be Link to the past, I've only played a couple but I started picking up all of the titles even the handheld to play the rest.
Link's Awakening was really good. It was the only Nintendo console title to transition well on the Gameboy. I liked the characters and it has a bittersweet story that is really good. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing. Oh, and it's supposed to take place right after Link to the Past.
I hear nothing but great things for Link's Awakening but since I plan to play the games in chronological order Its going to be awhile before I get to it.
@Kyjun Not at all. Like I said, I think it's represents the best of everything from the whole series. Anyone who hates it because of the art style is, well, let's just say I don't have any non-expletive words to describe them. @havoc81 Just out of curiosity: In what order are you going to play the split timeline games?
I think its under rated :P Skyward sword was amazing... Twilight princess... was too easy and a little to dark, and i don't mean emotionally i mean physically it was sometimes hard to see details.
