Games You're Looking Forward To

After finally watching the trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake I'm dreading it. Kojima [of course] has no hand in it. And I'm afraid they are going to tweak it in ways that will replace the psychological and atmospheric horror with jump scares and other cheap gimmicks. I hope I'm wrong. I would love to see them update 3 and 4 as well. I just have a feeling.

@verucassault it would be funny if they made a satirical reference to the whole Circumcision Theory ordeal if they remade 4 (note I have yet to play any of the silent hill games)

***re Silent Hill... since the remake has been circulating all the horror game fans I follow have been posting things like "If you could wipe your memory and replay a horror game to experience for the first time again, what would it be?" Most of the answers were Silent Hill, 2 specifically, but 3 and 4 were mentioned a lot. Some of the Res Evils, which they are remaking those as well so no surprise. And Rule of Rose was mentioned but I never played that.

@projectotakux I'm halfway through the vid and this is a 2 parter. First, Silent Hill. Cannot recommend the series enough if you like horror games. I skipped 1 and watched a play through like way down the road. SILENT HILL 2 was actually one of the first games I got with my PS2. One of my brother's friend's gave it to me, best hand-me-down ever. It remains one of my fav games despite age. Re referencing something for fun, that happened in those games. SH2 had a multiple endings, one being very fun and nonsensical. SH3 had a comical scene where they referenced something that took place in SH2 involving a toilet. It's not something that would never happen but, and here is the 2nd part to this, the Circumcision Theory is a little insane lol. The guy driving it on this wiki is so over the top it seems like he is trolling. But you never know. Nerds gunna nerd. I think he might be a bigger nerd for being anti-circumcsion than a nerd for Silent Hill. I remember that theory. I really don't see 4 The Room, 5 Homecoming, and 6 Downpour having too many hidden meanings though. The stories themselves are pretty straight forward. Nothing can really achieve what Silent Hill 2 did with the psychology behind James and his being stalked by Pyramid Head.

XD It is like saying Honoka's drive to create Muse in Love Live is an allegory for neutering your pets IT IS THAT ABSURD

@projectotakux The true mystery is not about the foreskin, its on whether or not that guy was trolling or not. I think I want him to be a troll honestly, because if someone invested that much time in earnest arguing that theory, it just makes me dispise the internet about 10% more than I already do. ***** Someone is trying to restart it I guess with Ethan in Resident Evil 7 and the Village. Those videos popped up as well.
