And about the digital platforms, YGOPRO is the best of them. Duel Links is cool, but you can't use the full potential of your deck with the 3x3 field.

Now if only you can add people on YGOPRO like you could on Dueling Netwo.... I mean Dueling Book :^) Agreed on Duel Links. While it is fun, it restricts the full potential of certain decks. Honestly, I was ok with XYZ, but I do think that Pends did ruin the game. If they could slow it down a bit, that'd be great. Even with Links out, it's still a bit on the speedy side.

Do I still care for the cartoons? Yeah, I do for nostalgic purposes. However I stopped playing Yu-Gi-Oh a good few years ago but still liked playing online every now and then even went to YCS like 3 years ago. I would probably still play online now and then if it wasn't for all this new cancer last I got involved in was XYZ now there's plenty of new shit.

Urgh, tell me about it. I was fine with synchros, somewhat. I still watch the anime, even watching the newer series. A bit darker than the other series, but it's pretty good.

About the synchros they are really awesome, cuz the older game was, well, a little bit slower and it deserved a little "speed-up". But again, for me the xyz and pends ruined the game, which were nerfed for good, because the game must be concentrated in the main deck, not in the extra deck. That's my opinion.

Speeding up a game is fine and all and synchros was a neat idea. But yeah, it needs to be more concentrated on the main deck, not the extra deck. Hence why I commonly use stun decks, Koa'ki Meiru for example. I rarely need the extra deck, it's just there as an "option". They just need to find a way to slow the game down and help out older archetypes instead of speeding it up to OTK/FTK battles with completely stupid and unnecessary cards. I run Aliens, Cloudian, Gusto, Psychic, Scrap, Wind-Up (Non-hunter loop), Ice Barrier, Gishki, Evilswarm, Fire King, Battlin' Boxer, Black Garden Plants, Gemini.... OH, I'll stop there before I list everyone :P Basically, I just want to play for fun, not play for victory. If that makes any sense. You know, it's not a tournament duel, so why go super competitive? Eh....

Yeah you are right.Gusto was my favourite archtype, before KONAMI speeded up the game and they became weak against the today's OTK decks. And yeah, extra deck must be a option, not the main force of your deck.

Cloudians will always be in my Top 5 just for artwork and playstyle. Oh? That almost sounds like a challenge, using Gusto nowadays :^) Granted, I do run Yang Zing, so we kind of do need to focus on the extra deck a bit ^_^"

xyz were simple i loved them they were fusion without taking up deck space and were pretty balanced too, and entirely situational for me. synchros were a whole new deck build like introducing a new damage type to runescape
