Question about email adress visibility?

I just have a question about the visibility of my email adress. Right now can everyone see it? Or can only friends see it? Is there a way to ensure NO ONE can see it? Because I don't feel comfortable having people able to see it without getting it from me personally. Don't want to end up getting spammed and weird messages. Hope someone knows about this!

I can't see your e-mail. Usually if you wish to have it displayed, it would be in your information if I am correct.

No, there is no option. Only a box with no writing next to it. But I think that if I add friends they will probably see my email. And I don't want that.

This is actually something that bugs me a bit. My personal preference would be for my email to NEVER be visible, friends or no--but there's no option for that. I'm happy to give it out to people once I know them, and in fact prefer it over trying to use the messaging interface here. I'd just like that to be my choice.

Yes, me too! That's why so far I haven't added any friends. Because who knows what those people are like..
