just get a PS3 that's backwards compatible and enjoy RPG's from consoles past unless you're dead set on the 360. In that case make due with the current library.

Well I plan to preorder the ps4 when I can, hopefully ps3 games will work for it.

well... technically dark souls is a jrpg, but i somehow think that's not quite what you're looking for. fantastic game nonetheless, though it doesn't quite have the same online population as it once did. stay tuned for dark souls 2.

ps3 games will not work on the 4 unless its a download from the marketplace, best bet is to buy a ps3 since most JRPG's for the next 3-4 years will be released on it, just like the ps1-ps2 and the ps2-ps3. JRPG's take a few years to jump to the next system, excluding Final Fantasy.
