why is he being like this?

From my experience, When I didn't call in a few days I would at lest leave a text usually it was because i have been so tired from work I would come home and just go to bed. The other side of it my brother (who could pass for a cast member for Jersey Shore) would purposely ignore the girls to get them to be obsessed with him and he would show all his friends look" she wants to see me bad" my brother is a dbag with no respect for women :T but like said above going to need more details to know what it is exactly.

Could be a number of things service is down, couldn't pay a bill, he isn't being faithful or he is trying to think to name the big ones

Long distance relationships are always a pain in the ass due to things like this, and it generally places you in a position where you are more or less waiting; and can do very little other then drive your self nuts thinking about how annoying you are possibly being. There are two possible 'resolutions' here. The first, being there is a service issue, or just a general lack of an ability to respond. Life some times gets in the way of even the best things; so patience is required. Absence after all does make the heart grow fonder, and while old adages like that mean very little whey they are occurring, they generally end up being something in hindsight you remember quite fondly. 2 is...well kind of a two sided deal. There is the possibly that you are smothering him, and just not letting you know that, or choosing to just break it off with out letting you know about his decision. IN either case it is a lack of conviction on his part, he is being a coward and you are doing nothing wrong: Even if you tend to be a bit over zealous in your intentions. In either case, 'time to think" or just breaking off communication, he should at least have a spine and be able to tell you before running away like a child. So cheer up. No matter what happens, you come out ahead.
