little annoyances

i was watching an episode of "excel saga" when i notice a clear difference in excel's voice. thinking about that reminded me about FMA:Brother Hood and how they had to replace Al's English voice actor. Basically this thread is for complaining about stuff in anime (ex. name changes, fillers) to everyday stuff (ex. a real good song that you dont know the name too)

Well...for FMA: Brotherhood they had to replace Al since he was becoming a big boy XD But, yeah I agree it's a bit weird. But, the new voice actor isn't to bad. She does pretty well. It'll just take some time to get used. Lemme see...uhm..Mai Hime english voice acting is terrible XD They were lazy about who to use I guess...Shizuru's voice...augh..I know they had to have her character have a country-ish accent, but...dear god it's terrible XD

When you're watching an anime in English, and the subtitles never match.

From what I've heard from an actual ADV spokes person many years back, the original V.A. for Excel damaged her vocal cords doing the voice. Thus someone new was brought in. Anyone ever noticed in Nadesico, in the Japanese track, the seiyuu of Yukari changes after episode 01?

I got one. I use traditional Hepburn romanization and would say that the industry mostly uses it too.
So when I see an "h" or an "ó" used in a long vowel words or names, I wanna slit the translator's throat.
Example: 妖子 (ようこ} should be romanized as "Youko" not "Yohko" nor "Yóko"... or even "Yooko". There's an "U" (う)in the name. So don't omit it or accent it or heaven for bid use a fuckin' "H"!
