Things Girls Do You Cant STAND!!! (guys only)

Feminist gets slapped onto any female who has a strong Opinion and has the courage to stand up and defend themselves. Just because a Woman has a strong sense of herself and what she wants does not make her a feminist. It makes her aware and knowing what she wants for herself. In a Man that is called a go getter a man on the rise. I hate double standards but they will always be out there =(

I also only think there a feminist when they admit it themselves I value strong women just not the ones who think they are better then males or in vice versa males who think they are better then females

@laddrusso I'm not really particularly directing that comment at you. Males and females have that same issue where they'll project their feelings onto another person. I think there's a couple of threads on this forum actually of women who are saying they've had the same experience as you where a guy will think something as innocuous as hi is a pick up line. I know I've had those situations for sure. @metaljester I'm not saying there aren't feminists who do go over to male oppression, but those are very much not the majority. It's just a crazy thing I've noticed where women will go and say stuff like they're for female equality but don't call them feminists. Which boggles my mind because a feminist is someone who is striving for female equality, which let's be honest, in many areas it's not equal. I kinda blame the media for portraying feminists as like female nazis which is far far from the case. Not to say everything is fair for men, but sad to say, this is still a mostly patriarchal society. Sure we have loud ones but on that same note, I don't think all republicans don't understand evolution, or are all bible-thumpers. or think that it's impossible to get pregnant from rape

Hmm I agree with some and disagree with other points all in all I feel both genders have oppression caused by select factors within both genders honestly instead of having one gender each fight for their rights we should combine them both into a rights group equally distributed with males and females. As said befor I don't believe the majority of feminist are about superiority and not equality I also don't pay attention to media in that I use facts from feminist I know personaly. Then we need to stop fighting amongst each other I would go on but I feel this would offend certain people if I started on a rant about some of the things that males deal with that are not equal.

It goes both ways I absolutely agree with you :) I made this thread when i was upset about a situation and kind of regret it. im not one to complain about others every decision has a reason and a story as to why. who am i to complain about something im not 100% sure about. :/

I totally agree with a lot of issues that aren't fair to men. Like child custody battles being skewed towards the mothers, and like how some support groups aren't as open to male abused spouses. I can even see the father's side of the pro-life/choice debate, though I'm gonna have to say that that particular example leans towards the women since guys don't have to carry it for approx 9 months and go through labor. Which is horrifying. To me at least. Labor is sooo not cool :P I dunno, sometimes I feel like a lot of societal issues really steam from like the media regurgitating ignorance and whatever gives it more ratings. Even the powerpuff girls weren't safe from anti-feminist propaganda. Which is crazy!

I'm glad you think so its good to see somebody who understands them^^ and yeah the media does hype up everything always have I remember the power puff girl ones lol ^_^
