Pah, much more adventurous to dive headlong into trouble like luffy when he had to rescue his brother.

People do not usually cut for the same reasons you do Megumi so please don't feel this is aimed at you in any way. But although some people do it for attention most do not. Some people do it cause they have issue , issues that will not be resolved by cutting. Honestly I can not comment on it but when I see someone so misrable like that it makes me feel sad for them, they have no idea that there are people who don't want to see them like that and itreally does break my heart. They do need help or conciling or someone to tell them to stop really... some people react to diffirent situations and I can sympathise but at the same time I can not criticise. I can't tell you why other people cut but in my case it was post traumatic stress due to some issues which are personal. It is hard to stop but you can if you want to, just like any addiction of drugs/alchol or cigarettes. I have not done that in over a decade, but there is a constant reminder that I did. It doesn't improve your self esteme or make you feel bbetter in the long run. I apologixe for the typos I have tiny keys at work... I just wanted to post my opinion.. I will say in my case I am glad that stage of my life is over with and I am a happier person for it.

Aoiyosei I understand, which is why i tried to revert back to the original topic, i had a very dear otaku friend who hurt herself horridly and she was beautiful with porcelin skin. She was shy and insecure and suffered from many different problem that i was never told about in detail...however my care for her helped only up to a point. I never gave her any absolutes like "if u cut again i wont be your friend" and i always said let try again each time she hurt herself. however somehow it backfired and she resents me for a reason that is unknown. But watching such a beautiful person in beauty and soul, hurt me. and obviously not everyone cuts for the same reasons. No one does really,bc everyone is different. I'm glad that you are doing better and are a happier person now :) I mentioned my reasoning, because i like to understand why people do the things they do...behaviorist kind of hobbie i guess. And I know that I've met people with similar reasons like my own, and it helped them out bc they were able to communicate better with the people that care for them for why they do what they do...idk if that explains what i mean to say..i hope u understand. p.s. typos are accepted bc i have a lovely kitty kat who loves typing for me so i short hand stuff and don't properly type bc of her...I'm sorry you have tiny keys at work they should fix that for you :c it's really annoying. also i'm thankful for your opinion senpai ^^ experience is knowledge.

Interesting this topic really took off. Thank you all for raising awareness. I feel that the reasons for cutting are endless. However, most could be erased with good people spending time with their friends and family. When people live an active life they don't have time to be negative or self destructive. I often get seeked out by girls who want to find themselves and end up talking for hours. There are so many people trying to find themselves so when talking to each other avoid adding pressure to the situations by breaking the ice and being honest fromthe start. Always be yourself even if you think you'll be judge. You'll gain resrespect no matter what and things will work themselves out. I will say this don't expect to get a girlfriend out of it. My experience has been that most just want a friend. I have yet to find one that says" I want to keep you, you're mine" lol. Yeah, this journey is sure long. I lost count of the number of conversations I had but hey at least I am gaining experience. Lol fast in the past two years it has been crazy.

On a related note: Has any fellow slashers had any success in getting scars to fade? I'd love to get rid of them and look normal again, but I also don't want to dump money into snake oil cures that simply won't work.
dreamerwingz11
how bad are they like raised scars? or just darkened skin

I heard of a new method that scientists discovered that allowed them to cut scars off and help the skin grow fresh over the wound as good as new, but I am unable to locate the specific details about it. :( I'm sorry

Fairly nasty, not raised, but they're definitely noticable, as I've had them since I was like 16. I will admit though, I want to keep the ones on my chest because it looks cool lol. @drako2k0 It's cool, that sounds kinda pricey anyways.
dreamerwingz11
if i saw them i could help more i know a lot of herbs and mixes u can do on ur own easily to reduce scaring
