it has only been two weeks....

animecountryboy
it has only been two weeks.... mood message to "i possibly have the best, most beautiful girlfriend in the world. I love you.".... he literally has been asked her out two weeks ago tomorrow(friday).... personally when people do this it annoys the crap out of me...
animecountryboy
My point is this: I am sick other people being together for two weeks and believe they will be together forever, say, "i love you" blah blah blah. Does this type of thing bug anyone else?
talamar
Well you're still in that new relationship euphoria mode. You'll probably be same way and not even realize it.

true talamar has a good point. start of relationships are always the "happiest" cause you're at the top of the world. then the real world kicks in.
animecountryboy
Well, that mode still pisses me off...

I don't mind when people say stuff like "I have the best girlfriend in the world" Or so, even if it's been 2weeks or so. To be honest, I would expect him too, if you really don't think you'll be together forever, or really can't see her as the best girlfriend in the world? Then I don't think that relationship is going to last. T Though, people who JUST met, and get into a relationship like the next day.. then I can understand that.. For me though, it's when someone goes and gets a tattoo of their name(Which seems to be bad luck), or buys them extremely expensive gifts. That's fine if you knew them for a good amount of time and just started to date, but if you just recently met? That's where I find it kinda stupid. I'm not one to really talk though, it's their decision to think or do that stuff. If it doesn't last, that's on them.

It is when people can't see each other objectively that I really get annoyed, you can love someone all you want, but you can still view someone objectively. People have flaws, it is aggravating when people forget that. I do admit that, to truly love someone, you must also love/enjoy their little flaws/imperfections. There is no person on this earth that does not have flaws/imperfections. And no, loving someones laws/imperfections is not losing objectivity. I do agree that two people should not be together unless they believe they have a future together, but to be oblivious to the world, and to lose objectivity... that just bugs me.

Also, I am old fashioned, and despite your prior interaction with a person, love is not something that can come overnight. Love is something grown in hardship, time, struggle, wonderful moments, those funny stories you will tell years from the moment it happens, the good, the bad, and everything in-between.
