Hmm. technically if you hold the handle down, all water would go down the toilet in time.

Clearly your sewer systems and toilets operate complete different to the ones we have in europe, i will not bother going into the relatively simple science of it, i will simply point out that the S-bend prevents any sort of "gravitational effect" from taking place and sucking water anywhere, it just dont work like that... now im getting damn curious... if you guys dont have S-bends... how do your toilets work?
