Well, my past Valentine's Days weren't spectacular. One time just me and my (ex)boyfriend just went and got ice cream (though it was cold outside) and complained that it wasn't like we had hoped (chocolate strawberry flavor from Coldstone Creamery.....never again). Another (ex)boyfriend just wanted to hang out that day or watch a movie at his house, nothing too out there. Really, I'm happiest when I'm able to spend time with the guy I love, whether it's out of the norm or not. Yes special dinners (eat out or cooked by him), special set-ups, and just having the thought to take extra time and effort to make the day more awesome helps and augments it, but simple stuff is all I require. ^^ AND CHOCOLATE, LOTS OF IT! ^o^ Most of my fancy dinner dates and special occasions happened during random other parts of the year while dating. For that, like I said, the day doesn't matter, just the experience and the feeling of happiness and belonging received from it. Hell, I've paid for me and a boyfriend at an expensive restaurant before because I planned it out and was working at the time, even sewed up a nice dress just for the date and (since I was the only one with a car and license) drove there.
