*read through whole thread* Phew..... *cracks fingers then neck* ok, let's do this Which is better? Real, because sadly we can not live our lives with a computer animated program. Anime has some wonderful(and not so wonderful) characters, but at the end of the day we live in reality, not an anime we just watched. I want to settle down, have kids, can't do that with a computer now can i? I can't truly engage in a conversation with an anime character now can I? So, as great as anime is, reality is better. On the whole hentai vs porn thing: generally most porn is a little disturbing at times with the "oh f&** me! Ya ya, ohhhh so f***ing good!"......... friend played porn near me once. i do like to read some h-doujinshi on fakku, i will admit that.

There is nothing wrong with having a crush on a character, as long as you remember they are not real.

Not by a long shot, while I believe all Otakus had their anime crushs growing up and preferred them over the real thing, that's what you have to remember, "they're not real". 1.They can't hold you 2.They can't talk to you 3.They can't help you 4.Most importantly they can't Love you. No anime girls and guys are not as good as the real deal. You can't come home to Chichi or Goku. Always need to remember Anime girls and guys are a piece of fiction and if you become to infatuated they can ruin you're real relationships. A piece fiction was a causing factor that ruined my last relationship, and it was a good one.

Ok, if you want a real relationship then a real woman/girl is the only way to go. If you just want fantasy then anime girl. Anime girls cant love back. Real women can. Anime girls wont fight with your or hurt your feelings, of course real women can. But where there is vulnerability and possible rejection there are rewards and joy. None of which can be had with a 2D character.
