thinking of doing a DIY event in the chicagoland area

I was thinking of doing like a barbeque or other social gathering somewhere in the chicagoland area..maybe chill...eat some epic food, watch/discuss some new Anime...if theres enough people interested I can triangulate up a good location that is convenient for everyone..a time and date, and figure out some stuff to do and what the individual buy in would be...let me know if you have any ideas/suggestions and if you are interested
