Sounds sorta like Kanako Ohno from Genshiken.

Uhm...no offense, but everything from that source is kinda fake >.< They make their own stories based on regular events and get millions of views on youtube. They like to stretch the truth a lot at times. Some people actually believe most of it. Anyway, they are pretty good at convincing people. This one is particularly interesting yet a bit disturbing... ;o

I think that was the point, meow. The Onion is a well-known satire source, they build on stereotypes and perceptions to crack jokes. A few years ago, there was a massed hounding in online pagan communities when an article stated that witches were conducting ritual sacrifice and that a new crusade had been declared. It took a week for anyone to notice it was satirical. The response was more hilarious than the original piece. Though don't get me wrong, being a bigger, hairy guy myself, I can dream that I'll find my Ohno one day. lol.

Why do people hold so much importance on age ? I can understand if someone has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peal, which is precisely why my personal preferences are for a younger partner, but it seems too many go exclusively by the clock or calendar.

Age can play a role, but I also think it can come down to maturity, commonalities, etc. I think I'm going to have a lot more in common with someone who is 28 versus 18 just because I grew up around the same time frame they did and they have had similar real life experience to what I've had. Not saying I couldn't make a relationship with someone that young work, but being 18 barely puts you out of high school at best and that person really has not had a lot of real world experience yet which is what college life definitely opens someone up to. That time from late teens to early 20's usually is a big jump when it comes to maturity for a lot of people.
