to the females here i have a serious question

animecountryboy
Honestly what are the thoughts on guys crying? I tend to try and be the rock for people, but i have my share of sadness. Most of my tears have dried up over the years and it takes alot for me to cry, but once in a while i do let out a good cry.

I've had a few guys cry around me, namely my brother and an ex. I think it's fine to cry if you need to, not pent it up. Also I cry a lot about stuff so it was nice to return the favor by being there when the guy had to cry about something and just be comforting. Nothing wrong with it, can't be strong 100% of the time.

It depends who it is. If it's someone I don't know, then I would just take off, because 1) it's gross o.o and 2)I personally hate it when there's someone there willing to comfort me immediately. I prefer comfort from a distance, if accepted at all, and so I would reciprocate this to others. If it were someone I were close to, well... it would be even more awkward for me. But I'd just... be on standby. Like a copilot.

I believe that whether male or female, gender has nothing to do with the entire concept of emotions. If a guy cries, it doesn't make him any less "manly." Not only females have the right to cry. That is just something an ignorant person came up with. I think it's essential, because it proves that they are not ashamed of letting out any pent up emotions, and they don't follow the "normal standards" that some guys follow. They try to hide it because they are afraid of what others will think of them.

I really don't cry and when i do see a friend or random male cry, the first thing to come up in my head is "couldn't you have hold it in till you got home or some privacy!!". When a girl cry's if i know her i usually just stand there and say comforting words to try to calm her down, if its a stranger i usually just try to see if anything was done to her physically, then i ask whats wrong.

The reason i posted this thread is because i went to the viewing for my friend who past away.... i was barely in the church before i started to get choked up. I felt tears coming on and whipped them away to try and be strong while paying my respects. I almost had to pull over driving home, because of being choked up

A guy who cries is so sweet ;_; Maybe because I don't like a guy who has no emotion at all... I think it's really manly when a guy cries, because he's strong enough to show his inner emotions.

There's a difference between crying which is sweet to crying that's annoying. I used to have a friend who shall remain unnamed and he cried so much that it pissed me off. Gender roles are kinda stupid, but hey... if you're a guy and you're crying like a bitch 24/7 then let's not get close to me. weeeeee Other than that, I do like a guy that shows his soft side once in a while. I also like it when guys cry at movies and try to hide it. ^ w ^

I am the guy who does not cry often, but when i do i try to hide it(mostly when watching anime, movies, playing games, ect) or just need to let some things out. I was just curious what women really think of guys who cry once in a while. When i came home from my friend's viewing i just spent the rest of the day in my room... i was just so choked up...

It is sad when someone close dies... It is hard to keep up emotions at church but when you got to cry you just got to let it out... Sometimes it is good to cry :)
