cantthinkofabettername I think the older games just required more "skill" than games now a days do.

Hiphopopotomus I kinda thought so as well but I've played a few before and I can't seperate the titles in my mind.

No mention of the original UFO:Enemy unknown/Xcom-Defense? Took me from '89 when first trying it, till 2006 bfore I beat it on the highest difficulty, and a played it atleast bimonthly.
