Is this whole leveling up thing a common feature for men, cuz that is scary. Especially if the woman really wants it to work. I think similar interests are great, with a few different interests that the couple can experience together with that they would never do on their own. Complete opposites doesn't do it for me. For some yes, but I would be the kind staring at him trying to figure out what we can do.

@kameiya Well i wouldnt really call it leveling up but its more of like using a past relationship to make the next one better. I dont know about the other guy but i dont go out dating women just to gain experiences from it...there genuinely are feelings there it just doesnt work out and ends up as nothing more than trial and error. If this relationship failed cuz of this then i wont do that anymore, if that makes sense.

No. I try to learn from my mistakes, but I don't see a woman as a tool at all. There are both men and women who think like that, and in general you should think twice before trusting someone easily, the person you're talking to could be like that too, but it's not as if all men think that way.

OK. I can understand this. You are interested in someone and date them in hopes something else will evolve since their was already a spark. If it fails, which happens to a lot of people, you try and figure out what went wrong. If it's something you can fix then you fix it. If it's personality clashes then date a girl or boy with a different personality.

@kameiya Yeah exactly! The way i see it is not every couple is meant to be together, sometimes you are only there to make it easier on the person who comes afterwards. Its not really a matter of leveling up by dating different women/men. Its a trial and error thing. If the relationshio doesnt work out, then it wasnt meant to be just take what you got out of it and move on. Thats why i dont say stuff like "i wish i never dated you" cuz if you never dated them then you wouldnt know what to look out for when the real person you like comes around.

Meh, what I gained in experience I lost in time. I'll keep the "I wish I never dated you." At least when there wasn't much meaning to it and it was just all around a bad time. I might be glad I met them, but would rather they had stayed acquaintances or friends. I'll learn from my mistakes and move on, and I'll regret those mistakes, but it doesn't mean I don't wish I could have my time back.

Probably reason why you need to know the person more so you can know how they tick. What they like and do not like, and seriously hope you know what they want. There are some that are so reserved that even their lovers can't figure them out after a long time of dating. Relationships sounds super hard. Too many differences and people. Probably why fights can never be avoided sometimes.
