With how certain countries use facial recognition out in public like it's the Psycho-Pass universe (China), I think FB taking a loss on their facial recognition stuff would be a win for society.

Well thats kind of how things are. People arent informed when the laws change and its sort of like on the people to know the law. I feel like that system has always been dangerous. Its kind of like the point brought up on timcast. When someone drives through a state that has banned guns when you are coming from a state that allows it, you can still go to jail. Even if you are only passing through. People sometimes arent aware of the laws for certain places and thats why things are dangerous. Because the law isnt uniform across all 50 states. But at the same time there is no splution to this becausebwhat is best for florida isnt the same for new york or idaho
