Political rants

The problem with the left and socialism is they believe a society where things are basically handed to you without the requirements of capitalism. Is the solution to everything, like noooo you cant get free college. Things are set in place for a reason. Watch how when everyone made going to college mandatory for their kids how all of the sudden you cant just find a job based solely off of that and now it takes connections and networking with a bit of luck to find a job with your degree. Even if you were handed free shit you still run into the already existing problem where peopl get degrees and end up at McDonald's anyway, but with more debt.

Sure, nothing is free but i think education should be subsidized.. imagine putting knowledge behind a paywall.. its like you dont want to advance as a species. Obviously teachers need to be paid and buildings should be maintained but i think cutting even a little military spending and stop fighting dumb wars would be enough to pay off these debts.. hell, getting rid of tax havens and forcing mega corps to pay taxes should be enough. While we're at it add healthcare to that list. I mean you already pay health insurance.. if you rename it to tax whats the difference? ultimately i think it could be cheaper as such.

I always hear people say that about corporations and havens but in my experience it's the smaller businesses that will fiddle the most. Maybe not the most wealth. To be honest I can't see any model fix human nature and this is the problem to assume and simplify motivations into policy making. The do-gooders can fuck people over unintentionally.

You do realize a little more than half of the people joining the military are only doing so for the incentivized education pay outs? I dont see many people besides myself and a few others who joined to be part of protecting their fellow countrymen. Sure alot of money gets wasted on pointless bs in the military that i personally think we could do without. But at the same time this whole notion of "lets cut the military budget and allocate funds" doesnt actually work. 1. Cutting funds means cutting people. What can you sacrifice that doesnt completely jack up the way things operate now? Oh yeah the people. The military as a whole gets frequent cuts to its work force every so often. Offering early retirement because we cant afford to pay these people to stay. That means those who stay behind pick up the slack such as people like me who is working 2 full time positions by myself. 2. That money wont actually go to college we realistically could allocate funds to college for people but we dont, and why do you think that is? 3. Higher Education should be behind a paywall it would be a waste of money for people to go through college at the tax payers expense and then just sit at home doing nothing anyway. That money could actually go to making the standard of living better for those who despite college would be struggling anyway.

I also disagree with free healthcare, the reason being is when people have something free they abuse it. As someone working in the healthcare field for the military i see this in practice daily. People will come in our clinic for the dumbest reasons. Appointments arent cheap. Ours go for at least 250 a pop. When you got people coming in for a sore throat that is really nothing more than upper respiratory infections. Or like stomach pain, and all that. This stuff adds up. Where is the money for that coming from?

@princewolfe ive never heard of a small company being able to send money off shore. big companies do it all the time though. when trump was in and lowered taxes on capital gains, why do you think all these companies suddenly reported insane gains and shit.. the market was booming. Thats intentional though. Republican presidents tend to lower tax so the rich bring their money home when needed. @hell_hound7 Considering most of my immediate family are in the military i know exactly how it works. They pay very well. Also thank your buddy biden for leaving fuckloads of our vehicles and shit over seas for towel heads to use. It certainly aint helping. In general i know how bad the military is with money. They do a lot of wasteful spending because generally if they dont use up their allocation of money, they get less the next year.. at least in terms of ammo and supply. Its a very inefficient system. Again, with health care, you already pay a premium every week out of your pay check.. so worst case, you just rename that as a health tax.. whats the difference between paying premium and paying a tax? no one said it was free.. im also all for paying a premium for private health care if you want but the fact obama made it illegal to not have health insurance is fucking retarded. Canada's health care seems to be cheaper as a tax than ours.

Who says you need an offshore haven to fiddle? That's just one way of playing with money and doing your books. Certainly that is one of the more easier ways for the rich to pay less.

Offshore is the most efficient way.. everyone fudges taxes a little.. nothing new but its all pennies on the dollar id think

@hell_hound7 Re your clinic, it sounds more of an administrative issue than a "free healthcare is bad" issue. The clinic should be encouraging it's clients to use telemedicine if it's getting bogged down by lots of clients with minor issues. I haven't seen my doctor in almost 2 years but I know if I shoot her a message on my clinic's portal, she'll give me a refill on any old prescription I got. She'll encourage me to come in for a check-up but, she'll also keep me out of the office if a visit isn't absolutely necessary. Long story short, your clinic needs new administration.

But I will pile on, I don't think pharma should be encouraged. We need to address healthy lifestyles and mental wellness. I still think one of the leading reasons why we have an obesity problem in our country is because of addictive personalities. Some of it is poor education and finances, but these people on my 800 lb life have mental issues. If you eat yourself to where you're bedridden, it's not a money issue and at that point, it's hard to argue it's an intelligence issue. It's something else entirely.
