Braces?

@blissfullforce "The nightmare was worth it" is exactly what I'm expecting about braces. Only problem is that it's ahead of me ^^'

Had braces for 5 years a long time ago. Honestly nothing much to worry about- they can be sore when they get adjusted and such however it gets easier over time (relatively quickly for me). Pain usually goes away after a day at worst after tightening. As others have said you might have to change your diet a tad. Also you ave to up your oral hygiene if it's not already excellent to avoid any broken brackets or food getting stuck and sitting too long etc. All fairly standard faire really. Don't regret having them at all also if you're worried about getting them when older- i've known plenty of people in their late 20s and 30s who get them.

@Elgardiel, that sounds like me but just the male version haha. I have them for 5 months, story of the guy above matches 90%. Had a childhood accident and finally worked hard to have money to fix them. I can't wait till I remove them though, need some meat with bones (like spareribs) and chew on some hard ass French baguette. @Makoto, I put red(top) and green(bottom) during xmas. I looked like a clown but yolo. Now I have both Blue.

I had Braces since i was 6 because i had a mouth of someone of 12 It's was living hell

I’ve had braces for more than a year now. Most times i get them adjusted are super painful. I haven’t eaten popcorn, nuts, hard pretzels, sticky cand/taffy, nor chewwd gum for more than a year. The last time I’ve had any of these things was late 2017 early 2018. My gums/mouth bleed all the time and been since day one. I’ve had to keep an intense oral hygene regemine, in order to keep my mouth clean. I brush a lot, and brushes takes a long time. It worth it though, to keep my mouth clean. I’ve had two teeth pulled, because i had really bad crowding, and i have a small mouth. Having braces has been a pain in the ass, but i can’t deny the talented work of my orthadontis. My teeth have quite literally never been straighter. I’m hoping to get them off by the summer.

I have scars on my cheecks now, because the sharp parts of my braces scraped and cut into my flesh, so wax has been my best friend through this process. If you are getting braces absolutely invest into getting wax, you will thank yourself later.
