guilliano
can anybody explain why because for example iv seen the matrix so i know if they put their effort in in it could have been a graet movie but dragonball evolution z was by far the worst movie i have ever seen next to pokemon whit oozaro being 5 ft tall picollo looking like he just come out of a startrek episode some shape shifting nobodie knows a fag claiming to be goku it was a disaster i don't understand why they keep messing up

Well sometimes it is so bad that it is good like the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney movie. Anyway, I think it is just the lack of direction and the fact that they are trying to combine the 3d world with the 2d one which doesnt always work out well.

The problem comes about when a director, who usually isn't a big anime/manga fan, attempts to turn the source material into a movie. They try to make it into a movie using what they know about, and what they're used to. They care less about preserving the original story, and more about making a product that a majority of the american population will enjoy, not the minority of anime fans. It doesn't so much have to do with going from a 2d world to a 3d one, they do that just fin all the time.

Death note wasn't all that good, mostly because the entire theater broke out in laughter as soon as ryukyu came on screen.
