Fan Fic of Dark Crystal Snippet

Note: This is the small bit I have written up for my idea of a prequel to The Dark Crystal. I just thought I'd share this as I have different opinions on from what the netflix Dark Crystal prequel created. The opening is paying homage to the original in the novelization. I figured the Gelflings were a free-spirited people and nudity wouldn't bother them, so rather then have Gen blushing I have him grinning instead. Again this is only a rough draft so I cannot vouch for the quality of it. I hope you enjoyed this little peek into how I would start/open a Dark Crystal prequel. : ___ Chapter One___ The Winds Sound_ On such a spring day the cool dampness of the moss felt good against Gen's bare butt. He sat nude and alone upon the river boulder slick with green forest moss. The boulder rested close to the roaring waterfall with the beautiful colors hidden within it's falling water, which emptied into The Great River. The Great river cut the Green Wood in half; west and east. He laid back to bask in the warm, golden rays of the sun as he was being sprayed with the gentle cooling mist of the waterfall. Swiftly he sat up at the unexpected noise on The Wind. Gen's green eyes widened in shock as he almost slipped from the boulder into the rushing river currents. Rarely did The Horns idly sound. They were mostly used by The Hunters to announce the Sacred Hunting Festivals; but this day these were not the normal tones given by The Horns of The Hunters, something was very much wrong. Gen stood up trying to keep his balance on the boulder even as he saw the form of a young Gelfling girl with soft honey blonde hair burst through the brush and bushes to intrude upon his solitude. She halted momentarily and stared at his nude form for only a moment. He recognized his sister at once and grinned at her for a moment. Both said in unison, "The Horns?" "Kiara, never have I heard them wind so? Do you know what this is about?" He did not wait for an answer and immediately lept into the river and had begun to swim against the current towards his elder sister.
