I'm a self-published manga author. Wanna see?

Avant-Garde... You've obviously got experience publishing... wish I had the gut to publish. I'm too scared that it's gonna be shite. Especially when I gotta take into account, "potentially offensive" content. Christ. It's my dream to make my mark on the world this way, but I can never pull myself together in the end. Did you ever face that? If so, how long did it take you to grow balls, and what helped you overcome it? (Proverbial balls obviously)

@forgetmenot I started publishing back in 2008. My first book was AWFUL. I tried again in 2013, and that one was okay. Bad story. XD And yeah! Our second volume has a trigger warning section...because I think people would be triggered by it. oAo So you can always add that to avoid the "offended" crowd! Haha. Well, I say hate grew my non-existent balls. (Lmaoooo) It made me have the drive to prove those wrong. That I can succeed. It helps that I have a collaborative author with me. It's hard working on stuff by myself in terms of writing. It also helps if you have an outline then full story written. Have close people proofread as well. My first books didn't have that. It was messy. I think I'm more organized than I used to be. And it also helps to order proof copies before releasing the final product.

Time to rob a bank then! It won't be theft if I can pay it back later. Crazy? I'd be crazy not too! Potential jokes aside, while it's a shame, I'm more interested in the prints of copy 1 and 2. They have a similar art style to some of the art in an out of print fan zine from tumblr I enjoy and the story has me intrigued. I'll roll the dice and if I roll a one I'll just support regularly until I win. As a fellow artist I understand the pains of what boils down to "I'll get you next time" and I'm actually very sorry it played out like this.
