@amarantha That's my philosophy since my identity was stolen last year. It truly is a bitch trying to do damage control since the US government is not equipped to handle this problem that they themselves created. In any matter I jokingly say if my credit score is fucked up enough maybe it'll deter the next thief, haha! Still doesn't stop them from filing for government assistance which has been happening to a large number of people here in Virginia. So I can't win for losing seeing as even in bankruptcy thieves can apply for assistance in my name.
