@sparkis cars!? thats a pretty controversial choice! can i ask why its your favorite?
@kuharido two classics, i approve. personally my fave is hunchback of notredmane (only flaw is frodo wasn't as fleshed out as in the musical, and the esmerelda ending up with blondey was stupid, kinda undercuts the theme of the movie)
up is a kinda unpopular pick among pixar snobs (like myself) imo the movies highlight was the beginning, and because the beginning was SO impactful it set the movie up to only go downward from there.
for pixar my fave is a bugs life for plot, and for emotional ending climax its onward. for animation its the visuals its soul/the good dinosaur
cant fucking wait for luca, i think it'll be a new favorite!!

I thought Carl letting go was really good for a story. I like adventure too.

My favourite Disney and Pixar movie is Wall E. Still makes me sad.

i agree, but the villain was really so luke warm. he wasn't bad, his motivations were understandable and i like how he reflected what carl could become if he didn't let go, but the ending climax was the typical fight scene, and i don't think that the kid really advanced the story. he and the bird were kinda just tag alongs to pad out the story without really adding any character development for carl beside, 'hes not as mean now'
it was a good film xD its just that compared to other pixar films it feels lacking in certain areas.
up has the best opening though, and I'm not sure which is sadder, the ending climax from onward (with the mc giving up his chance to say good bye to a father he never remembered so his brother could have it instead, because he realized his brother acted as that father role for him) or ups ending climax (childhood friends growing up and growing old, sticking together through a miscarriage, no dialogue needed, the silence conveying the sullenness perfectly)
carl and suzy (was that her name?) kinda remind me of the beams from eureka seven

I think those things are going to be a matter of preference anyway. Atleast Roger Ebert liked it.

I don't know, I always liked it, from when I was still a little kid to now. It's lighthearted but also action packed. And the racing cars looked really cool. The races were always my favourite parts.

I still haven't seen the last Cars movie. The second one amazing tho. Cars literally died in the second one XD
