Being a parent is all about resignation and sacrifice.

I get the whole religious aspect but if im being honest if you never wanted the child in the first place ur only gonna mistreat it. Thats not fair to the kid either, child support doesnt make the fathers want to be there for the kid either. You can send the money but that still isnt gonna bring back that bond. If you gave men the option to be like yeah im not forced to do this maybe i can come by and once in a while spend time because im not working like 3 jobs to provide for them and me. Then we can see conflict resolution here.

You don't get what im saying if you feel forced to do something you arent gonna do it. If i forced you to go do something rn when you dont feel like it would you wanna do it? Or when you felt comfortable enough would you do it on your own? Think about ur parents forcing yoi to clean your room compared to now when ur on your own and no one says anything to you. Its not always about the mother, some guys want to be there but also because of the outrageous payments of child support they have to live out their car and work multiple jobs to even afford the cost of living for one person let alone a child.

I’m gonna say I don’t like or agree with abortion, BUT I do and can understand why women do it and it a lot of the times can be when they’re scared. There’s no support from family, friends or the father of the child and sometimes not even their communities. I do agree with dag in the sense that children need both parents and since I’m Christian and raised with that perspective, that’s what God created man and women for is to be in His image and divide/multiply (raise kids TOGETHER). But the sad thing is that not every kid has their father and mother, so ultimately I feel like in a way it comes down to support. I think if a lot more people knew what abortion entails (a lot are uneducated about it or lied to) and had the proper support from communities, parents, friends and especially their local churches or something I think a lot more lives would be saved. And NO I don’t HATE anyone that does support it, but I really, really, really don’t like it.

@daggerfella I think that people can find father figures in other forms than your actual dad. I grew up in a single family for most of my life with my dad living in another country, We kept in contact but I wouldn't say I had a strong father figure growing up. However I think that by doing sports gave me a sense of community and family. Since I was with the same people everyday for 6 years, you gradually get closer and you get brother and father figures that honestly kept me out of trouble. I wasn't a perfect kid and got into some trouble but I still managed to get a academic scholarship to a major college. So you can find family outside of blood relations.

of course, and I knew people that had both parents but were neglected so they turned to partying and drugs to get the validation that they craved. People can be in great circumstances and still turn to a live of crime and trouble.

Sports programs are good. Keeps kids out of drugs and crime. One of our leftist government's achievements was fostering sports to talented people. This gave us a return in the form of Gold Medals in the Olympics, which gave us a sense of pride outside of our soccer.
