Yea thats one thing about the military, the govt owns you and everyone thats enlisted knows it, so kinda ironic to complain about the vax.. However, the media has done an immense disservice to the public by posting sensationalized garbage for money and view. I actually followed medical professionals for my covid news and was the best thing i could do because i could understand the situation better and see where all these fear mongering articles were telling half truths and bs. Honestly between the media making money off this and the gov't not doing much to educate people on the matter, and simply saying "trust the experts.. now get the jab or lose your job" .. its really dystopian. Like psychology 101 is when you're vehemently trying to get someone to do something, they're gonna get spooked and be suspicious. Obviously facebook armchair doctors and shit dont help either. I dont know if i should be angry at people spreading disinfo or the lack of transparency from these so called "professionals"..

What have you been following because there have been countless proven methods to get around covid vaccine. This entire pandemic was a money grab so like idk about you guys but people are still being hospitalized with the vaccine. Damned if i do, damned if i dont type deal. Get the shot and suffer the side effects or dont get the shot and lose everything even if you wont get sick.

Well. I trust the vaccines because the death tolls have immensely plummeted in Brazil after vaccination started. Not a blind trust though, because the pandemic won't just magically end after mass vaccination like media says. As of now, we've surpassed the US in full vaccination proportion despite starting mass vaccination WAY AFTER the US. We got 59,43% fully vaccinated against the US' 58,9%. That happens because Brazil is efficient when the subject is mass vaccination and enforcing vaccine restrictions. It also hasn't an elaborate anti-vaxx movement. When the president pushed for the mass production Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine (using public money for that), our hospital entries and deaths haven't budged. In fact, due to incompetence in the other areas (such as logistical, when Manaus had an oxygen shortage and the government took a week to send it), the deaths and entries have only raised. São Paulo (the State I live) barely registers ten deaths for COVID-19. It was also the first State to receive the vaccines (which triggered Bolsonaro pretty bad since he hates our governor, which is another shit). But people still gotta stay alert, for the pandemic is FAR from over.

Ahem. News from my country, too. Sérgio Moro, one of the Operation Lava-Jato's (Operation Carwash) judges has officially started to run as a presidential pre-candidate for the 2022 elections. I don't know how I am supposed to feel about it. He is a judge known for opposing Lula when he sent him to jail, and Bolsonaro when he left the government due to the latter's interferences in the Federal Police. But what will HE propose outside of his image? Let us wait.

I just want to throw it out there that I am not big on medicine in general, which is one of the reasons I won't get vaccinated. I also believe in quarantining myself if I'm sick. I'd rather become naturally immune through anti-bodies, never have had a flu shot. If I die from sickness, so be it type of mindset. I think the only medicine I take is if I have really bad headaches. I'm also a person that just doesn't trust the government in general, so the major political push for the vaccine throws up red flags. As for the military stepping out against vaccination, keep in mind the history of military medicine and experimental medicine being used in the military. Veterans have sued the military for use of chemicals and medicines that have caused major damage to them. On their side, it's easy to see why they're skeptical about taking any kind of vaccine. Not to mention that military officials are allowed to force vaccinations. "During the vaccination, personnel can use force necessary to administer the vaccine." This has been fought for a long time by military personnel and veterans. This is not just for covid, it's also for any vaccine the military tries to administer. I think the covid vaccination for the military goes hand in hand with the general push back against forced vaccinations from the military, I don't necessarily think it's a different issue because it's simply the covid vaccine. However, at the end of the day, my stance on it is this: If you are comfortable and feel that the vaccine is right for you, I have no problem with you doing what you feel is right. On the other end of the spectrum, I would hope you can respect my decision not to get the vaccine. Side note: I just want to point out the hypocrisy of the establishment liberals that are pushing the vaccine. For years and years, they spouted off (and I agree completely) that are free to do with our bodies as we please. But now if you're an 'anti-vaxxer', doing with your body as you see fit, you're like a god damn walking plague bearer that should be set ablaze in the streets. I suppose I can point out the hypocrisy on the right as well because now they're cool with you being free to do what you want with your body. No wonder I don't trust the current government, they can't even stick to their general ideals and will fix the narrative to fit whatever point of view they see fit.
