Bc internally it is a freaking mess. Putin gave post-Soviet Russia a very oomph to its diplomatical policy, returning its status as a global power.

Nope, it really is. Russia and its allies' equipment matches the US' own. Such other leaders rely on Russia to fend off Turkish and American proxies.

@nebelstern yes russia is a formidable foe dont get me wrong but are they stronger than our military i highly doubt it.

I don't think they are stronger than the US bc I didn't really check on its military gears, and even if I did, I wouldn't understand jackshit. Russia is the country that does whatever is good for themselves. Such in the COVID-19 pandemic, they reduced their trades with China to favor the US... their supposed enemy.
