Anime uses Audio and visuals to immerse. Gaming uses Audio, Visual, plus hand input for immersion. VR takes it a step further by utilizing audio, visual, hand input, and body tracking for immersion. Hence it is far more likely that someone utilizing more senses is far more immersed.

Utilizing your brain more is not an argument for immersion. That's just a statement. Under that same logic. Doing advanced math equations would be the most immersive because it requires a lot of brain power. No it is not.
