I’ve found using kettle bells and resistance bands for my legs feel much better than traditional squats. Don’t have the greatest knees or lower back anymore, so it helps a lot
Been doing lots of running, legs and core lately. Mainly things like, planks, side planks, flutter kicks, MC Crunches, pull ups, weighted squats, indian runs, suicides, long distance runs, ammo can lifts, lunges, burpees etc. Every time I come home I'm dead.
I got a few questions fellow members of the church of iron. @dyadka_yar@sparkis and @amrod what ya benches at rn kings? You guys compete (bodybuilding or powerlifting)? If so when was your last meet and what lift do you like to specialize in (for powerlifting only obv lmao)?
@neotangs Right now the ORM for me is 455 lbs/ 206kg on bench press and that takes all I have. I will do my best to increase this over the winter. Usually I do majority of my reps at 325 lbs. Generally speaking I do not compete since I'm not quite there yet. So I mostly do this for myself at this point. I am trying to improve my aesthetic, but the my rule of the bench states that I must bench twice my weight.
Leegs are a pain ;<<
Back is my favourite one though
Legs for me too. I don't know why, I never did like working legs. Good news is that they recover in around a day.
Favorite to do is the chest. I can spend hours under the bench and feel good.
I used to use kettle bells while I still had some mobility problems
What weights do you use for squatting?
