@redhawk Recipe for my burritos: There are multiple things going into this so there will be multiple recipes in one. FIRST RICE: Ingredients needed- Water, Rice, salt, olive oil (any oil really but olive oil i find better), Fill up a pot to about midway with water, add a dash of salt and 1.5 tablespoon of olive oil. Place on high heat setting and bring to a boil. Get your rice, rinse rice while massaging it and then strain before placing in water. Leave on high heat (uncovered) until the water boils just below the surface of rice (to tell you can use a spoon to push aside the top layer and see how much water there is). Place on low heat and cover rice and let it sit for about 5-10 mins checking periodically to see if it is done. If too soggy leave uncovered, if uncooked leave on cover. NEXT SOFRITO Description- basically a blend of different items meant to give your food more flavor when cooking Ingredients- half a green pepper, half a red pepper, half a onion, clove of garlic, cilantro Just throw them all in a blender and mix until its a green paste should smell pretty strong and fresh. BEEF: Ingredients- ground beef (as lean as possible cuz its better for you), taco seasoning packet, half a packet of key lime shrimp taco skillet sauce, olive oil Place beef in pan with heat off, pour out packet of taco seasoning and 2 tablespoons of plive oil on the beef. Turn on heat to medium. Stir fry the beef until it no longer red/pink and now a light brown color. Pour out half the packet of taco skillet sauce and continue to mix it with the heat on medium. Do this for 2-3 mins then cover the pot and let it sit until you feel it is ready to be served. Chicken/turkey: Ingringredients- either ground turkey or chicken breast tenderloins (if using chicken dice it into small tiny bite sized cubes), olive oil, fajita seasoning mix, other half of key lime shrimp taco skillet sauce, and half a lime. For this you are going to let the chicken/turkey marinate first. Using the fajita mix with lime and olive oil you are going to mix it together then let it sit before throwing in the pan. Turn on heat to medium cook until it is a light grayish color then add the skillet sauce packet. Repeat steps from beef. Now that you have all of these done you can now make your burito. Layer it rice, then chicken, then beef (other toppings optional). I can send pics later when i make it.

Its probably not THAT healthy but its a better option than most fast food places

@hell_hound7 Everything here seems to be rather healthy. Would look into the contents of seasoning packs though. I suppose its mostly spices but need to look into salt content.

Probably high in sodium if anything, you can make your own seasoning but im not that advanced

My favorite meal, is also the easiest thing i know to make... I didnt want to put stuff i cook at the restaurant on here, as i felt that would be unfair. And my favorite dont come from there anyway. Basice recipe: Mashed potatoes, meat, corn, cheese. Make mashed potatoes- skin (or dont skin if you want) chop into 4 equal pieces, and boil until tender (usually took me 10 minutes but stoves and amount of potatoes may vary. Add milk and any seasoning and butter, and mash. I usually use a beater, and keep adding milk until i get a smooth texture. Cook the meat- For this i used venison. But beef or any other meat youd prefer (though i suggest red meat) Cook and season meat. Near the end i suggest using boulion cubs, or a beef stock, maybe a little stout beer/or red wine if you are feeling fancy. Just make sure to cook out the alcohol. In a pan or tin- Along with a can of corn layer the meat, corn, mashed potatoes, and cheddar cheese. Then repeat (you dont HAVE to make multiple layers, but i always suggest 2) Bake in the oven at about 350 until the cheese is melted (or even a little browned) let sit and serve.

Lets try this again without the pic repeating for some reason again... "Healthy?" Debatable... but its homemade and not prepackaged, which i find better than not

It does look a little carb loaded. Would work as a meal before a workout, though I would prefer adding some source of protein besides the meat and cheese

Its meant to be heavy. Best for a quick fill up, and for multiple people. Also good for winter time. And the beauty of sheppards pie is you can add more (or rather cottage pie technically since what americans consider sheppards pie isnt accurate) you can take out and add what you wish to. Had an aunt put in onions and greenbeans/peas
