Well there are several ways to look at this. First you could get a part-time job (like suggested) during summer break since there is no school at that time. Second you could help around the house during the week and maybe try to earn some extra money.

That seems like a better deal than what my parents gave me. Mine was that if I got straight A's they would give me money. Helping around the house was a given in my situation even though I heard it was different in other houses.

I had a job that only paid me $15 a day for 3-4 days, work was horrible though and not worth staying there, guy that works there now makes $40 a day >:O

I wish I had an allowance. Sadly I give money to my parents on top of paying my little sister cell phone bill every month. She ain't even my kid, yo!!!!
