I guess it's to test humans. Just like how Got forbid Adam to eat the fruit to test him. In the Quran, It is said that Wine is haram. Just wine. When God saw how men turned grape to wine to get drunk, he made wine Haram because it made humans drunk. And because of that, anything that intoxicates humans, such as whiskey, vodka, tequila, alcohol in general, is haram. Even though it's not mentioned in the Quran. AMD about drugs such as marijuana. Narcotics such as opium, weed, morphine, heroine, they are haram. As they harm the human body. It is said that God made the Marijuana plant for it's medicinal purposes. Smoking it is something humans made. And it's haram. @a1ephy

God is is supposed to be omniscient. God is suppose to be all knowing. If God knew that certain chemicals made humans go all crazy. Then why did God create those chemicals in the first place? It does not make sense. I know Jesus is just another prophet in Islam and not a God per Christian dogma. But Jesus made wine. If wine is haram, then why did Jesus create wine? Illogical inconsistencies stacked upon illogical inconsistencies. That is the problem with these ancient archaic texts. The text self contradicts itself. @amir_bahram
