Totally want to move to Japan.

xueli Tokyo's governor is infamous for trying to label a number of anime/manga as harmful publications and thus restrict the sale of such titles. When a bunch of publishers boycotted the anime expo in Tokyo and tried to have another one that got cancelled because of the earthquake to which the governor stated that they deserved it. Yea i read about that luckily Ishahara(sp) has recently left the position but one of his cronies took his spot so i'm sure the slant against Manga/Anime is still going to be in place, on a related note no im not stalking xueli but i like to quote well read/thought people.

Hmmm japan is definitely a good place to live if you know what your getting into and i mean if japans beauty is definitley there and their technological stride is definitely good considering what they have done in robots and other things of that nature the traditionial aspects of it are truly great especially some of the myths there are a few things that can turn bad for you quickly if your not careful though one is the discrimination over there be careful of it the living cost is known to be high to if you want to live like you do in a average american home also as someone mentioned their is hate towards people who like anime and manga over there due to alot of reasons from the govermnet and believe me there are people over there that will let you know it your best bet is to stay somewhere relatively tourist friendly or is not effected by all the discrimination or anime haters out there in japan and tokyo has certain areas where its prominent based on what i know so getting a degree and having something already is defintiely good if you want to move linguistics can be very fun over there if you know what your doing some of the goverment looks for american tutors to teach english in the country so definitely a good field to pick up in

It is really pretty, I think Kyoto is very nice, but it all depends on if I get the Scholarship (trying not to count my chickens before they hatch >~<). I might go into teaching there, or software design...hmmm
