Coronavirus. Your thoughts? [Serious and Non-Serious]

@cero Quite a few are doing that, either providing 100% work from home or continuing optional office. But I see those as outliers rather than the norm. The 2 offices I'm familiar with are really pushing to reopen as soon as its safe, even if another lockdown is just a week away. There's a lot of lost productivity from companies that don't have years of experience dealing with it. Systems like being on a zoom call all day to simulate it helps, but that never lasts more than 1 day. This is on top of people working in poor environments from home. Its still cheaper to work from home, but seriously, the company should still pay ~2K/yr+ for home office equipment to make it workable. There's also a lot of work that gets done through out of work social interactions that don't happen in work from home. I've found that the work environment becomes much more toxic when you don't see the people face to face.

I find it funny that happened right when I was finally getting some progress in my life. Then covid-19 put it all down the drain
