that's a special circumstance letting an ult go through. you said yourself we shouldn't have special circumstances

if we can allow an ult to go through, then why allow the defending player a chance at attacking during a clash?

Its either you take it, or leave it. If you can find a actual line from the PDF. That says "IF CLASHED WITH ULT, and hit the player still survives." I like the rules documented. If it ain't, then your objectively wrong. You can't add rules, without implementing them in the PDF.
