The only reoccurring bad dream I've had throughout my life is one where some presence (ghost/creature/etc) is moving towards/chasing me from across a dark corridor. Whenever I reach my room and try to lock the door it never stays closed (it's either broken, smaller than the door frame or just won't lock). I always wake up right when the presence reaches me, it's also interesting that these bad dreams are set in my previous homes rather than my current one. The first time I had that dream, it was set in my old house (while I was currently living in my second home) and now that I'm living in my 3rd home, they're set in my 2nd one.
Ever since around High School/post grad, I don't tend to have bad dreams/nightmares anymore since I usually have some way of subconsciously avoiding them right before things get bad (I either wake up or find some sort of "escape route" that changes the topic/theme). It's also due to growing up/thinking more logically and not believing in all the stuff that scared me as a kid. That's why these ones catch my attention since I've had them on several occasions and they tend to result in the same ambiguous bad end.
Besides those spooky dreams, the worst one I've ever had was back when I was in the 4th or 5th grade. It was set in my first home which was a somewhat big house. It started with me looking down at the first floor from the stairway, it was pitch black down there and I felt something making its way towards me. To no surprise, I started hauling ass up the stairs and opened the door to the spare/play room. Unfortunately, it was also pitch black and I could hear voices coming from withing so I closed that door real quick. Next I tried my parents room but that was also dark so it sketched me out. Finally, I went into my own room which had the lights on and closed the door. Something from a toy box caught my attention and it turned into a small flying saucer which started chasing me (I was a kid ok lol). I make it back to the top of the stairs but I can't go down since it's still pitch black and that other thing is still lurking down there so all I can do is sit on the floor, cover my head with my hands and close my eyes hoping that I wake up. I wasn't lucky, I feel the flying saucer creature touch me and my heart starts racing instantly followed by me waking up scared out of my goddamn mind. That shit felt so real that I was quietly freaking out in bed, in the middle of the night with my sheets over my head for a good couple of minutes until I somehow fell back asleep.
Unfortunately the night didn't end there as I had a nightmare spree and woke up on several occasions lol. Running through dark woods where I couldn't escape the darkness and the whispering aliens/creatures reached me as the darkness enveloped me. A false awakening to a dark room (don't recall what exactly happened here but probably more whispering in the dark) and the last one was of a killer clown with a giant industrial fan killing me on multiple occasions (this one was top down like a video game for some reason). That night was absolute hell.
Sorry about the length, got too into it lol.

@avenger_senpai I get some intense chasing dreams sometimes. It's either a killer like Freddie Krugar (my no.1 childhood monster under the bed) or an evil stalker type that you never see but you know is always behind you. Then there are the zombie apocalypse dreams. Those got out of hand after seeing 28 Days Later when the bitch asses started running marathons.
