Out of the guys that contacted me in those first few days. One turned out to be an old contact from 10+years ago from London anime all nighters, we met up at con in October and chat a little on discord. Plan to meet again in may. The other I WhatsApp with every other day. Slightly disheartened as I hoped to get more local friends to possibly meet up with. I changed my bio to mention only looking for friends, took off profile pic and tried again. I didn’t get any lewd chat requests Second time around, made a couple of far away friends. Now I’ve shrunk my bio further, I’m not accepting friend requests, I’m happy with my long distance friendships. And I’m enjoying being me by myself as I’ve given up on looking for local friends. I’ll enjoy the meet ups at con and posting on forums, and chatting to my active friends.
