@Travismo007, I don't know. That might be a bad idea. If you focus on becoming friends, it might end that way. Being friendzoned is bad and it may lead to both parties regretting it because they are afraid to take that next step. Better to just get it out and in the open. Don't get me wrong, having friends is great. However, a person needs to risk it to get the end goal.

idk man, all of my best relationships have started out as friends first. Just cant let it go on forever is all. and also gotta lay the ground work while in the friendship, subtle hints you like her and see how she is around you, if she responds in ways that make you think she probly say yes, then ask her out.

@Travisemo007 let me tell you something, people be stupid. Doesn't matter how subtle a hint can be, people may just never catch on. I was friend's with this girl back in high school and I thought it was nice to have a buddy in high school. She didn't tell till eight years later that she had a interest on me and was already married. And in the end, we hardly speak to each other. So, if you want to play the long game it mostly never works. Because by then the subtle hints are just quirks to your personality. Fortune favors the bold. If you think making friends is better than forming into a relationship then hey go for it. Just know most of the time, it'll be a longer wait, hints may never be seen, it could be too late to make a move, and it could end friendship when a move is made.

nah man, ya never made a move. not her fault. i wouldnt drop hints for 8 years lol...jesus. my point is, ya gotta give her a chance to see some of your personality before ya make a move. if ya want anything to last and be real. or to even highten your chances of her saying yes. At the very least you should converse with her a few times in a 2 week- a month time period before asking her out. Otherwise theres honestly no reason for her to even say yes when she doesnt know jack about you or who you are as a person. asking her as a stranger may work, but its super slim. friendzoning only really happens if you wait too long to ask her out or she just isnt interested in you in that way and you just dont want to give her up and move on.
Zack waited too long. Ya gotta give her a chance to catch feels too. be friends with her or converse with her and or drop subtle hints for up to a monthish but no more than 2 months max. if you havent asked her by then, do it or move the hell on, you wait past then, your "yes" chance percentage will drop from there. you reach a year without saying anything, good luck.
now if its a friend you already have that you develop feelings for. you have as much time as it takes for her to be taken really. just jump when shes single, most ppl dont settle down for life till age 22 or later.
the exception being, if your out of highschool and not in college, converse with her for 2 weeks to 3 weeks max, then ask her or move on. waiting longer than that isnt really an option as an adult.

Travise, I said she had an interest in me. Not me in her. Because we became friends, I thought the "interest" was just part of her personality. Become friends; you risk losing everything. Just make it quick and simple. Friends are great, but everyone wants a partner in the end. Fortune favors the bold.
