Do any of you guys play instruments?

I figured I’d ask! I play bass in a weeb cover band (*´∇｀*). We’ve played at Katsucon a couple of years now but are branching out to other venues. Part of what inspired me to play were the bands I listened to originally wayyy back in the day like SOAD, H.I.M, and a couple other bands. I fell out of it but then went back to bass guitar years later because of visual kei movement / subculture, and I haven’t really looked back. If you don’t play an instrument, what instrument have you always wanted to play? If you have, what are your favorite genres to play? Or favorite songs?

I play keyboard/piano as a hobby. I don't stick to any specific genre, as it's mostly just stress relief, and/or showing off to guests.

Ahhh yeah? I always wanted to learn but my brother plays piano and I grew up playing violin before bass guitar. Have any songs you enjoy playing?

i started to learn the base in middle school but my fingers couldnt reach the frets without hurting my hand, so i quit after two lessons (a family friend taught guitar, so i got lessons free <:) my grandpa also offered to teach me how to play a piano but i never took him up on the offer

@lamby ahhh that’s what discouraged me the first time but the stretching happens a lot more with practice and stuff. But it should never hurt either. Ahhhhh piano is so pretty. Bass is definitely challenging tho. @Kyle !!!!!!!! What is your favorite FF soundtrack?

@trash that's an extremely hard choice, as anything by Uematsu is gold to me. If I had to a specific game, 4 and 6 had some great tracks. I still listen to the Black Mages and soundtracks religeously.

6 is one of my favorites purely for the Maria & Draco opera. Uematsu is the best. I’ve seen Distant World’s 3 times now and it was amazing. Ahhhhh It’s been a bit since I’ve listened to them since I’ve been caught up listening to everything else. I listened to them during my internship this year though.
